MCC hosts Oktoberfest
Yo-da-lay-ee-ee. Hope’s Memorial Community Center couldn’t wait for next month to celebrate Oktoberfest. This Saturday, Sept. 23 from 4-10 p.m., the center is going to have a barrel of fun once again.
And MCC is going to have it all. Homemade brats, sauerkraut, beans, coleslaw and dessert. In addition, there will also be a kid’s meal available. Dinner will start at 4:30 p.m. and you won’t want to be late — they’ve sold out of the brats in the past. In addition to great food, there will be some great brews on tap, wine and soft drinks — something for everyone.
At 5 p.m., the Oktoberfest fun will start with a great variety of music, including live German polka music, great music from the Swing Street Band, the fabulous Dennis Wilson on saxophone and capped off with some rock ‘n’ roll. (Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes or just kick back with good friends around the fire pit.)
While there is a charge for the food, there is no charge to attend the event. The cost is $20 for one meal or $30 for two meals.
The Memorial Community Center is located at 415 Wellington Place in Hope.
