SANDPOINT — Craig Wyborny recently built a replica of Henry Ford’s first production automobile, a 1901 Quadracycle, with the help of his son, Curtis.
Ted Farmin was a big help with the custom welding, Wyborny said. He decided to build the automobile after seeing an old photo of the vehicle. It took six weeks to build.
The quadracycle isis powered by a 13 horse power Briggs and Stratton engine which gives it a speed of 12 mph.
“It’s fun for neighborhood kids to take rides in and brings smiles to the adults,” Wyborny said of the quadracycle.
