BUS RIDER RULES LISTED

School District Transportation Director Ken Holt lists eight rules adopted at the annual school bus drivers’ meeting. Holt says it is important that parents are sure their youngsters understand these rules: 1) Pupils must be on time; 2) Unnecessary conversation with the driver is prohibited; 3) Classroom conduct is to be observed. Any child guilty of unbecoming conduct or using inappropriate language forfeits the right to ride on the bus. The driver is in full charge; 4) Pupils must not throw waste paper or rubbish on the bus floor or out windows; 5) Pupils must not extend arms or heads from windows; 6) Pupils must not move about while the bus is moving; 7) Pupils must cross streets and roads in front of the bus and must look both ways before crossing; 8) Pupils are to remain seated until the bus stops.

CONCERNING PEOPLE YOU KNOW

Charles Stidwell, for the past three years an employe (sic) of the Northern Idaho News, left the fore part of the week to make his home with his mother (Mrs. Alice Stidwell) at St. Maries. As an apprentice in the news office, Charles more than filled the requirements, being at all times a most conscientious worker and one whom absolute confidence could be relied upon.
