Richard Digby Osborne, 64

Richard Digby “Ozzie” Osborne, 64, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017.

Funeral services and military honors will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint. A reception will follow at Trinity at the City Beach. Viewing times for friends and family will be Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Monday morning from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

He served a 22-year career with the United States Navy with the Underwater Construction Team. He survived 92 deployments, a shark attack and was shot. After retiring from the Navy, he started a successful plumbing business, Ah-z Plumbing. Ozzie said, “My life was full, I’ve had a great life.”

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Digby Ludlam Osborne; and his father, Raymond Bertram.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Tena Rae Dye Osborne; his mother, Dorothy; a brother, John (Cheri) Reynolds; his nephews, Chase, Park and Mac; a sister, Doris (Art) Strawbridge; his nieces and nephew, Tripp, Jamie and Laura, Liza and Dan; a great-niece, Madeline, and great-nephew, Riley Fox; a stepson, John Reed; his grandchildren, Jonathan and Kathrine Reed, Justice and Andrew Reed; his great-grandchildren, Lillian, Russell, Jackson and A-La; and all people who touched his life and made him happy.
