COEUR d’ALENE — Arlaina Stephenson had 11 kills and Zion Nelson eight kills and three blocks to power the Lake City Timberwolves to a 25-6, 25-16, 25-11 nonleague volleyball win over the Sandpoint Bulldogs on Wednesday at Lake City High.

“We’ve been playing with a quick tempo on offense and had a balanced attack in the front row,” said Lake City coach Mike Summers. “Our serving was phenomenal tonight and Sandpoint had a hard time getting anything going.”

Klaire Mitchell had eight kills and 19 assists, Ashley Reyes 10 digs and three aces, Chloe Knudson six digs and two aces, Reilley Chapman six digs and Ashley Kaufman two aces for undefeated Lake City (16-0).

Grace Hicks had eight kills and two blocks for Sandpoint (7-12), which had only 16 kills in the three sets as the offense struggled against one of the top teams in the state. Shelby Kluver added nine digs and Taylor Riley 13 assists in defeat.

Sandpoint is at the Linda Sheridan Classic in Spokane this weekend, looking to break a seven match losing streak.
