JV softball team downs West Valley, Moscow

SANDPOINT — Jaycie Irish and Aidan Webster each picked up wins, and the offense continues to put up crooked numbers, leading the Bulldog JV softball team to a pair of wins recently.

In an 11-10 victory over West Valley on Friday, Irish earned the win and Webster the save, with Zoey Barajas and Nyesha Fleming handling the catching duties.

Madi Garman went 2 for 2 with two singles, Barajas and Kinzie Ward each scored two runs, Irish and Abigail Hendricks each had 2 RBIs and Haley Carson ripped a two-run double to lead the offense.

The next day against Moscow on Saturday, the Bulldogs plated a whopping 19 runs in the second inning and nine more in the fifth of a 38-11 slugfest that was called after five innings.

Webster struck out three and Barajas caught, holding the over-matched Bears to just six hits while pounding out 30 of their own in a strong show of depth.

Lily Gammon and Webster scored each scored five runs and stole three bases, Garman had four RBIs and Gammon had three, and Barajas hit a triple and a home run in the offensive onslaught.

The JV record is now 5-2, a bright sign for the future.

n JV2 scores win over Bears

The Bulldog JV team won 15-11 on Saturday in a game called in the third inning due to time limit.

Jaden Dickinson allowed just one hit to earn the win and Paige Lanie caught. Madi Garman relieved Dickinson in the 3rd inning and Kinzie Ward caught, as Garman struck out two batters.

Ward, Yvonne Padilla, Bella Davis, Haley Carson, Izzy Jones and AnnaMarie Gonzalez scored two runs each, Garman had 3 RBIs with a single and double and along with Gonzalez stole two bases.
