PULLMAN — Freshman CeCe Deprez fired a 94 to lead the Bulldog girls golf team on Wednesday at the Palouse Invitational in Pullman. Fellow freshman Hattie Larson was next at 103, a score much better than it sounds when you add the eight penalty strokes, while Hannah Hurst shot 104.

“All in all a good day, most them played pretty darn good considering the wind and cool weather. We’re still a little week on the putting and chipping,” said Bulldog head coach Tom Tharp, whose team also racked up some penalty strokes. “There’s a lot of ponds. It is one tough golf course.”

The Bulldog boys team travels south to play the tough Palouse Ridge course today, with inclement weather in the forecast.
