Hathaway, Myers lead Wampus Cat track team

HARRISON FLATS — Sophomore Sara Hathaway won three events, one of a host of Wampus Cats who won events on Tuesday at the Kootenai Invitational track meet, as Clark Fork opened the 2018 track season.

Hathaway won the 100 (13.82), the 100 hurdles (16.7) and the high jump (4-8) to lead the girls to a second place finish. Freshman Autumn Haller was second in the 100 hurdles (21.77), the 200 (30.7) and was third in the 100 (14.76) in the five team North Star League meet.

Ellie Kiebert was second in the 400 (1:19), the long jump (13-0) and the shot put (28-8), and was fifth in the discus (56-11), Darby Kaiser was third in the 400 (1:21) and fourth in the 200 (34.3), and Reba Decker was fifth in the 200 (40.6) to round out the top five placers.

Michael Myers won the 100 (12.6), was second in the long jump (16-2 1/2) and third in the 400 (1:00) to lead the Wampus Cat boys, while Josh Constantin won the high jump (4-8), was second in the 200 (26.8) and third in the 100 (12.8) and long jump (16-2) in a pair of strong showings.

Eli Engelhart was fifth in the 400 (1:08.6) to round out the top five boys.

Clark Fork is at Kellogg on Saturday.
