Dam ops update taking place today

SANDPOINT — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting a public meeting today to update the community on operations at Albeni Falls Dam. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Bonner County Administration Building at the corner of Highway 2 and Division Avenue.

Topics slated for discussion include spring and summer operations, snowpack and inflow forecasts, review of winter operations and discussion of the corps’ flood assistance program.

Another meeting covering the same topics is also set for Thursday in Cusick. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Kalispel Camas Center on North LeClerc Creek Road.
