Would you vote for a person who does not call for the retraction of ads which are underhanded, misleading and blatantly deceptive? Since early April, ads have been broadcast on local (Spokane) TV stations which accuse Raul Labrador of doing nothing while a congressman and of voting against Idaho citizens on several push-button subjects. Those ads have not named the candidate they support, only an “Idaho First PAC.” Why the reluctance to be fully transparent? Can you trust someone who will not honestly identify themselves? Even after Raul held a news conference and revealed the lies of the ads, the ads continued.

Recently, Tommy Ahlquist mailed to me a postcard stating deceptive claims about Raul, most of which echo the same misleading statements against Raul in 2015 and 2016 made by his opponents. A good article was published by Betsy Russell (Spokesman-Review) in 2015.

Those claims were made by Democrats. Perhaps Tommy has maintained his relationships with and habits of the Democratic Party.

“Exploring for Geothermal Energy Act” (2014), “Federal Reserve Transparency Act” (2012), “Self-Sufficient Community Lands Act” (2016), “Grazing Improvement Act” (2012), “Preserving America’s Family Farms Act” (2012), and “Future Logging Careers Act” (2014). A few of the bills sponsored or co-sponsored by Raul. Look them up.

Do you consider trustworthy a person who would deliberately lie or mislead to accomplish a goal. Would his religion promote lying to succeed? Is that the so-called character you want representing Idaho?
