Of all the government positions, that of a Bonner County commissioner is one of the most challenging. Performing the job effectively often requires contributing greater than 40 hours per week. It requires someone willing to see an issue through, whatever it may be, with commitment and tenacity. It requires someone with a business background and an understanding of fiscal responsibility. It requires an understanding that we, the constituents, are the commissioner’s employers, and that respect for us is foremost. It also requires someone who believes that communication with those constituents is essential, and that obtaining input from a variety of sources before reaching a decision is crucial.

We’re fortunate that Dan McDonald is a sitting District 3 commissioner. Why? Because he’s proven himself both trustworthy, and possessing of all the aforementioned characteristics. Dan is persistent, he researches everything, and he’s committed to serving his constituents honestly and transparently. And that’s why he deserves re-election.

Please vote for Dan McDonald on May 15.
