With Trump’s firing of David Shulkin as secretary of Veterans Affairs, it has become clear that Trump’s plan, in concert with the Koch brothers, is the privatization of the VA health care system, which will be a disaster for veterans.

I have been receiving VA health care for several years and it has treated me very well. All that will change once privatized.

About five years ago I drove to the Spokane VA hospital for a cough that wouldn’t quit. After being interviewed I had blood drawn, a chest X-ray, told that I had pneumonia, had a prescription filled at the VA’s pharmacy, got my travel pay from Sandpoint to the hospital and left for home. My time from entering the VA hospital to the time I left totaled 2.25 hours.

Name me a private hospital where one can get that kind of fast service.

As for our divider in chief’s border issues, we are no longer the United States of America but the paranoid states of America. This is especially so with the red states. You don’t hear the fear expressed in the blue states that one hears expressed in the red states.
