VOTE TO TAKE OVER WATER PROPERTY

With a total vote cast of 332, of which it was necessary to have two-thirds to carry the bond issue, taxpayers of the city of Sandpoint voted on Tuesday to purchase the water works system of Jerome L. Drumheller. The vote was directly upon a bond issue in the sum of $98,000, the difference between that and $140,000, the price to be paid, being represented by a mortgage now held against the plant and which the city assumes. The election was quiet in the extreme, as the light vote upon the proposition indicated.

The sale of the bonds and taking over of the plant is expected to be consummated by July 1.
