Novel Night Gala aids Your Library Transformation

| April 27, 2018 1:00 AM

For the past couple of months, I have talked a lot about the Novel Night Gala; Rotary Club of Sandpoint’s fundraiser benefiting Your Library Transformation. The event took place on April 14 and I have just caught my breath enough to report how the whole thing went.

Rotary set a $30,000 goal that, if achieved, could be split between their community projects and the library. They informed the library Thursday that we would receive $20K plus the proceeds from the Fund an Item site that Rotary established in our behalf! That site is still open. Go to www.NovelNightGala.org and click on the Fund an Item tab to see our wish list of things we hope to purchase for the Teen Lounge and makerspace. I’m not sure when that site comes down. You may want to visit sooner rather than later.

Photos from the event were posted to our Facebook album immediately following last year’s event. This year, many of the guests purchased “framed” photos by donation, so we are not publishing them...yet. We will have those photos and more posted on our Facebook page in “Photos” under an album titled “Novel Night Gala 2018” by the end of the month.

Thank you for supporting the event and for your support of Your Library Transformation since we started this journey.

We are also grateful to our community-minded event sponsors: Alliant Americas Insurance, Schweitzer Mountain Resort, and 219 Lounge.

With the gala now behind us, we are busy organizing our grand opening event.
