CAMP STIDWELL IMPROVED

Camp Stidwell, popular camp spot for Girl and Boy Scouts at the southern end of Mirror lake, is receiving the most improvements in many years. The main building was roofed with aluminum and, with the aid of Sandpoint city equipment, water was piped to a trailer site near the gate. Other additions are six concrete and steel fireplaces and four new picnic tables.

A caretaker is being sought for the camp such as a reliable individual with a trailer home. His lights, power and water would be furnished in exchange for watching the property.

FOR A CITY SERVICE FLAG

The young ladies of the Sunset War Savings society are arranging a dance on August 23, the proceeds going to purchase a service flag for the city of Sandpoint. Trout’s orchestra will furnish the music and the admission fee will be 50 cents per person. While the ladies’ first object is to raise funds for a Sandpoint flag, they hope to reap a sufficient profit from the dance to also provide a flag for the county.
