Brush fires keep area crews busy

SAGLE — Selkirk Fire has had a busy week so far. Since the start of the week, Selkirk Fire crews have responded to several brush fires, one on Lakeshore Drive and another on Northern Sky Road, according to the fire department’s Facebook page. The fires burned a combined several acres.

The fire on Northern Sky Road required additional resources from Timberlake and Northern Lakes fire and the fire on Lakeshore Drive required water drops by a helicopter and a large commitment of personnel from Selkirk Fire, Idaho Department of Lands, and Northside Fire.

Both fires are under investigation by IDL.
