Date announced for 'shred fest'

Columbia Bank and DeVries Business Services are hosting its annual community-wide “shred fest” on Sept. 15.

The event will take place from 9 a.m.-noon at the bank’s Sandpoint branch, 414 Church St.

There is no charge and participants can shred up to three file boxes or grocery bags per person.

However, there can be no stiff metal, plastic bags, DVDs or other items that will jam the shredder.
