John Henry Strite, 88

John Henry Strite, 88, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Private family services have been held.

John was born on January 30, 1930 in Santa Cruz, California, to John and Mildred Strite. He married Rosemary Clingan on February 20, 1970. They moved to Sandpoint in 1977 from Santa Cruz. John retired from WI Forest Products in 1995 as a mechanic.

He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

He is survived by two daughters, Laura (Harold) Higgins of Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada, and Tiffany (Drew) Mark of Federal Way, Washington; five grandchildren, Brittney, Lindsi, Aaron, Michael, and Lucas; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Harper; and a brother, Tom Strite of Santa Cruz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters.
