Pastor Pearl Whistler has accepted a calling to United Methodist Church. Whistler comes to Sandpoint from Fossil, Ore. Whistler worked with the fine folks of Fossil for 10 years and now looks forward to working with the Sandpoint congregation.

Beginning her ministry with the Sandpoint congregation on July 1, Whistler looks forward to meeting both long-time members and newcomers at Sandpoint United Methodist.

As a part-time pastor, she is not in the church office every day. If anyone would like to make an appointment to meet with her, please call the church office at 208-263-4232.

Ministry was not Whistler’s first career. She came to the ministry after she worked for the state of Wisconsin in environmental enforcement for 15 years. In addition, she also taught at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wis., before becoming a pastor.
