Rebecca (Becky) Ann Olson, 59

Mrs. Rebecca (Becky) Ann Olson of Sandpoint, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at the age of 59.

Becky was born to parents Richard and Ruth Welch on Sept. 14, 1959 in San Diego, Calif. She grew up as the youngest of three and attended Sandpoint High School. In 1979, she married her high school sweetheart, Ole Olson. She worked for several years as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

Becky was a lover of wildlife and sea life, and became an expert photographer, capturing their amazing beauty and individual personalities in their natural settings. She enjoyed traveling and exploring our national parks with her husband. Becky was known for baking 15 delicious pumpkin pies for the Agape Café for their Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

Becky is survived by her husband, Ole Olson; her mother, Ruth Welch; her brother, Richard Perry Welch lll; her sister, Debra Perry; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Perry Welch Jr.

Becky will be cremated and her ashes scattered in the breeze over a place she loved. The family is grateful for condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
