Sandpoint’s 26 turnovers felled the Bulldogs in a 57-42 loss at St. Maries on Dec. 1.

“The big story of the game for us again was turnovers,” Head coach Will Love said. “We had 10 turnovers in the third quarter that really allowed St. Maries to get some separation that put the game out of reach for us.”

Hattie Larson paced the Bulldogs with 13 points — her second straight game in double-figures. She also chipped in three rebounds, two assists and four steals.

Maddie Morgan added 11 points, and senior Natalie Petit had her best showing of the year with a five point, seven rebound effort.

“I thought Natalie Petit played really well,” Love said. “Maddie [Morgan] has been pretty consistent for us and she hit some pretty big shots tonight.”

St. Maries’ Kaci Haeg led all scorers with 17 points, seven rebounds and six steals.

Sandpoint will look to get off the schneid against Bonners Ferry on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m.
