Freedom in all of its applications is dependent on truth. (“the truth: bix weir, Nov 17, 2018”) describes at minute 26 the seriousness of current national events. Weir’s theme of “exposing the truth” is a mature and non-partisan effort toward correcting corruption, malfeasance, misfeasance, nonfeasance and fraudulent issue(s).
Following this lead, locally, we need not look past the entire process of Pend Oreille Hospital District’s collection and distribution of tax revenues. From May 23, 2017, to Oct. 23, 2018, POHD Chairman Lawrence has neither included as an agenda item, nor discussed a single dollar of an annual $4,000,000 POHD budget …, excepting the “blind” transfer of POHD tax funds to BGH Inc. and an EideBailly certified audit presentation.
So, why do Sept. 25, 2018, minutes, online at pendoreillehospitaldistrict.org identify a motion of no confidence against POHD Chairman Lawrence? Would the truth, if related to; stated verbal threat relating to dissenting votes, allowance of inaccurate recorded meeting minutes, obstructed document production, engagement of bylaw nullification, participation in appointing of an unlawful trustee, fostering an environment of abdication, exclusion, secrecy, and “board minority” silence… warrant no confidence?
Naturally one would ask what is Chairman Lawrence hiding or protecting? Why does it matter to taxpayers, POHD and/or BGH? Chairman Lawrence’s own words … only begin … to answer the first of many questions, “how is it going to get us (Lawrence) in trouble, or, our (Lawrence) names in the paper.”
