Input sought on habitat, wildlife

PRIEST RIVER — The Kalispel Tribe of Indians will hold two public open houses to gather input on proposed habitat objectives and strategies for wildlife mitigation on several properties in northeastern Washington and North Idaho purchased using funds provided by the Bonneville Power Administration.

The first open house will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the Camas Center for Community Wellness, 1821 LeClerc Road, N. Cusick, Wash. The second event will be held Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Beardmore Building, 119 Main St., Priest River. Both events will be held from 6-7:30 p.m.

The Washington properties are Calispell 4 Property, 26 acres on Cusick Meadows Road, and Calispell 2 Property, 40 acres off Highway 20 near Cusick. The Idah properties are the Big Meadows complex, 788 acres at Big Meadows on Goose Creek, and the Beaver Lake 2 property, 40 acres in the Beaver/Eaton complex.
