Kanning remains in contention for spot on national team Sandpoint Nordic Club cross country skier Annaby Kanning raced in a Super Qualifier at Mt Bachelor last weekend. The race series includes not just the best racers from the Pacific Northwest, but also skiers from other divisions like Far West (California) and Rocky Mountain, as athletes compete for a position on the national team. On Saturday in the skate ski sprints, Kanning made it to the final heat out of 21 girls in the U16 division, finishing 5th. On Sunday, she finished 12th overall in a classic distance race.
