Eva Marie Peak passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018.

Eva was born in Tyndall, South Dakota, on Nov. 22, 1922, to Fred and Anna Eatherton. Her early days were busy, full of farm chores, school and keeping up with her five brothers.

She learned to be a hard worker and kept that work ethic with her during her long life.

She met and married Les Peak in 1941.

Les was serving with the U.S. Army during World War II.

After the war, he began his career and Eva became a homemaker and mother. They enjoyed their children, Marylee (Alan) Anderson, Susan (Gordon) Devenny, Cherie Peak, and Larry (Patty) Peak.

After the raising of their children and retirement, Les and Eva enjoyed traveling, boating and spent 59 years together until Les passed in 2001

Eva was a wonderful grandma to Amy (Drew), Carin, Matt Peak (Ashlee), Mike Peak (Dana), Melissa (Rob), Emily (Aaron) and Peter.

She adored the little great-grandchildren, Ava, Kate, Cameryn, Stella, Evie, Jack, Leyla, Jake, Elsie, Avery, Grady and Ivan.

She was preceded by her husband, Les; her parents; her brothers, Vernon, Bob, Bill, Harold; and a sister Elsie Mae. She is survived by Jim (Marion) of Sturgis, South Dakota.

Eva Loved to spend her days baking, sewing, walking, gardening.

She enjoyed family gatherings and holidays.

Our thanks to Luther Park and Bonner General Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.

Eva was loved by all and a very “sweet lady.” She will be missed.
