Our Sandpoint has a charming, attractive downtown. Along the areas of First Avenue, Cedar Street and Fifth Avenue, there are already many coffee houses, shops, and restaurants. I have reviewed the three scenarios for the University of Idaho property on Boyer Avenue and am disturbed by the photos of coffee shops, “salons,” and plazas. Why sprawl out into a rural area with more of these enterprises when there are plenty in the heart of our city?
Buildings never go away. Citizen input is important. Check out the options and let the city know what you think the future of this gorgeous piece of land should look like.

In order to see them, you must take the survey. They have also been presented at open houses that occurred on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 5 and 6.
