BCSO recommends Informed Delivery
PRIEST RIVER — The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to avail themselves of a U.S. Postal Service notification service in light of scattered mail thefts in the area.
Informed Delivery is a free and optional notification services that gives postal consumers the ability to digitally preview their letter-sized mailpieces and manage packages scheduled to arrive soon. Users can view what’s destined for their mailbox using a computer tablet or mobile device.
Use of Informed Delivery comes at the recommendation of sheriff’s office Neighborhood Watch volunteers, who signed up for the service and were pleased with its performance.
Those who don’t receive their scheduled mail can provide the notifications to law enforcement by calling Bonner Dispatch at 208-265-5525.
