Eva Mae Luckey, 82

| February 14, 2018 12:00 AM

Eva Mae Luckey was surrounded by her loving and devoted husband along with her dedicated family when she went home to rest in the arms of Jesus, early Sunday morning February 11, 2018. She was 82 years old.

Services for Eva will be held Friday, February 16 , 2018, at 1 p.m. at Coffelt Funeral Home with a fellowship luncheon directly after the services at the VFW Hall.

Eva was born to Thelma and Lloyd Buck in South Sioux City, Nebraska, on August 02, 1935. As a heavy duty mechanic, her father followed construction during her childhood. This gave her the opportunity to travel many different states along with her six siblings, she being the fourth in order of her brothers and sisters. She loved and cherished her family and always loved to travel.

When Eva was 18 years old she visited family in Sandpoint, Idaho. She met her soul mate, Harvey Luckey on a blind date; three months later on October 24, 1953 they married. They loved and lived life to the fullest for 64 years. She loved life! She loved her husband, and from that love came four daughters. She was the heart and soul of this family that grew to 72.

When she wasn’t devoting her time to her to her husband and family she spent her time doing other things she loved to do. She read many books, sewed clothing for her husband and children and re-upholstered furniture. She painted with oil on canvases. Art was her passion. And when they had the opportunity Eva and Harvey traveled, often with their four daughters.

Eva was a woman who loved — she loved her Lord and Savior and from that love she poured it out on all who surrounded her.

We will miss this beautiful, loving lady. But we rejoice with her as she now rejoices in the kingdom of Heaven.

To continue the walk here on earth she left her husband, Harvey Luckey; her sister, Betty Owen; and brothers, Roy and Robert Buck; many nieces and nephews; her four daughters with their husbands, Debbie (Dale Roberts), Kim (Cornel Rasor), Susan (Steven Taylor), and Karen (Frank Berschied); 12 grandchildren with their spouses, Sally Roberts (Morgan Montgomery), Emily Roberts (Aaron Peterson), Amber Roberts (Levi Bush), Nicholas Rasor (Sarah Joy), Danielle Rasor (Gabe Yandt), Eugene Berscheid (Tracy), Justin Taylor (Kristina), Alexandria Rasor (Isaiah Yandt), Colby Berscheid (Hannah), Elijah Berscheid, Tyler Berscheid (Bailey), and Kaimi Ann Berscheid (Brian Varney); 36 great-grandchildren; and two twin great-great-grandsons making the fifth generation.

Family and friends are invited to sign Eva’s online guest book at coffeltfuneral.com.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
