In Slovenia beekeepers use bee houses and the A-Z hive system. Following a recent trip to Slovenia, Andy Kennaly will present aspects of this system, make comparisons with the Langstroth technique, and have on display an actual A-Z hive (without bees) and management tools.

The talk will take place Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m.-noon at First Presbyterian Church, 417 N. Fourth Ave.

The lessons presented are of benefit to beekeepers in North Idaho with its similar geography and climate. Come learn more about the amazing bee keeping history, culture, and techniques of the Slovenian A-Z hive system. All are welcome to attend — beekeeprs, gardeners, hobbyists, travelers and those curious to learn more.

The event is free to the public. Costs are underwritten by the First Presbyterian Church of Sandpoint.
