It has been more than 30 days since my wife called 911 and the first responders came to my rescue. I was unconscious and barely breathing. The dispatcher kept my wife on the line while two of BCSO’s finest raced to the house to get me ready for the ambulance to arrive. Once at the house, with in minutes I was rushed to BGH ER and the battle to save my life was continued. Twenty-four hours later they woke me up and removed the breathing tube from my throat, being confident I could now breath on my own. Some type of super phenumoia bug indeed, and I had had the shot.
We are so fortunate to have such dedicated first responders and ER staff, as this was my third time BGH ER as brought me back from the infamous “glowing” light , I never saw. I do believe the nursing staff of the ICU , who took care of me for five days, are no doubt, the best . May the Lord bless all of you.
