Kubiak inducted into Biola honor society
Jenna Kubiak was honored with membership into Biola University’s Epsilon Kappa Epsilon this fall.
The Ponderay resident was recognized for her induction into EKE, Biola’s honors baccalaureate society, at the fall 2017 commencement ceremony. The honors society is exclusively offered by invitation only, by which students are selected by their departmental faculty.
Twenty-five students were inducted, as membership is limited to no more than seven percent of the graduating class. Recipients will be given special cords, which they will wear on Dec. 15 at the commencement ceremony with their graduation gowns.
Every semester, selections are made by a committee who reviews the candidates and makes the final decision of induction. To be eligible, students must have a GPA of 3.75 or higher, as well as meet the qualifications of service toward their communities, and excellence in academics and lifestyle.
Flavel is named to Gonzaga dean’s list
Giovanni E. Flavel, a Priest River student, earned placement on the Gonzaga University dean’s list for fall semester 2017. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.84 grade-point average to be listed.

Situated along the Spokane River near downtown Spokane, Wash., Gonzaga is routinely recognized among the West’s best comprehensive regional universities. Students earn spots on GU president’s list
Several Bonner County students earned placement on the Gonzaga University president’s list for fall semester 2017. Students must earn a 3.85 to 4.0 grade-point average to be listed.
Named were Erik Robin Bruhjell and Nathan Schwartz, both of Sandpoint.

George Fox names dean’s list students
Local students were among those who earned dean’s list recognition at George Fox University for the fall 2017 semester. Traditional undergraduate students must earn a 3.5 grade point average or above on 12 or more hours of graded work to earn a spot on the dean’s list.
Named were: Andrea Alsager, freshman, management; Anna Alsager, junior, cinema and media communication; Cody Knight, sophomore, business administration; and Laney Search, sophomore, biology; all of Sagle; and Joab Logan, senior, marketing; and Claire Pierce, sophomore, philosophy; both of Sandpoint.

Area students named to MSU honor rolls
Montana State University has announced its undergraduate honor rolls for fall semester 2017.
There are two MSU honor roll lists: the president’s and the dean’s honor rolls. Students must complete a minimum of 12 degree-eligible credit hours to be on either list.
Students with a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester were named to the president’s honor roll.
An asterisk follows the names of the 1,120 students named to the MSU president’s honor roll in the listing below. The dean’s honor roll includes the 3,416 students earning grade point averages of 3.5 or above for the semester.
