Charlotte was raised in Greybull, Wyo., the eldest of four children. After high school she moved to Spokane and it was there she met and fell in love with the man she married, Don Butler. Don and Charlotte moved to Othello in 1967 and it was a good fit for their family as they lived there for more than 40 years. She spent her last years in Sandpoint, Idaho, at Luther Park.

Charlotte is survived by her husband Don of Hope, Idaho; her children, Cindy (Jerrod), Todd, Tony (Trish), and Chris (Kerri); five grandchildren, Devin, Sidni, Logan, Ethan, and Jackson; and her siblings, in-laws and their many children and grandchildren. Charlotte was blessed with a large, loving family and a large circle of friends.

Charlotte was multi-talented as an inspiring watercolor artist, quilter, musician, seamstress. children’s author, chef and interior decorator. She was passionate about many things that she worked to support including the environment, social justice, children’s welfare and natural medicine. She had an open mind, wisdom of the soul and a joyful heart that impacted the lives of the many who knew her. Charlotte’s life philosophy was one of acceptance and to choose love above all else.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in her name to: Transitional Housing for Women & Children in Spokane (link to help4women.org/programs/transitional-living-center; or The Old Hotel Art Gallery in Othello, 509-488-5936
