Feb. 14

After a vehicle slid into a power pole in the area of Fifth and Church at 5:49 a.m., officers advised there were no injuries.

A vehicle hit a snow berm near the fairgrounds on N. Boyer Road at 6:50 p.m., damaging it.

A non-injury accident was reported at Chestnut Street and N. Ella Avenue at 7 a.m.

Officers provided traffic control for a telephone pole that sheared off into the roadway on Baldy Mountain Road at 6:52 a.m.

An officer responded to a report of a slide-off accident in the area of N. Boyer and Schweitzer Mountain roads at 8:43 a.m.

A non-reportable, non-injury collision was reported in the area of Fifth and Cedar at 8:41 a.m.

A child playing with a cellphone dialed 911 in the Samuelson Avenue area at 12:07 p.m.

A domestic battery, which occurred in the 1200 block of Cedar Street was reported at the police department at 12:46 p.m.

Accidental 911 activation was reported on Aspen Court at 1:01 p.m.

Custodial interference was reported on Lavina Avenue at 11:46 p.m.

Officers were unable to locate any barking dogs in the area of Cedar and N. Ella after a complaint at 1:45 p.m.

Accidental 911 activation was reported on S. Second Avenue at 3:02 p.m.

A dog bite that occurred in the area of Pine and Lincoln was reported at 3:53 p.m.

A fraudulent check was reported in the 300 block of N. First Avenue at 4:17 p.m.

Officers located and identified a suspicious male reported in the 200 block of Cedar Street at 5:40 p.m.

Officers and Selkirk Fire responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury collision in the area of N. Ella and Alder at 6:13 p.m.

Officers and Selkirk Fire responded to a non-injury accident in the area of N. Boyer and Main at 6:25 p.m.

A male, who refused to leave his name, stated at 7:42 p.m. that the streets had not been plowed at Spruce and Sixth, which is not a valid intersection.

A 16-year-old Sandpoint female was trespassed from a business in the 600 block of Larch Street at 8:01 p.m. after shoplifting there.

A vehicle blocking a driveway in the 1300 block of Fir Street was towed at 8:07 p.m. after the officer was unable to contact the owner.

A parent requested a welfare check at 10:05 p.m. on his adult son; he was later located in the city and the attempt to locate was canceled.

Coleton D. Hayes, 18, of Sandpoint was cited in the area of Fourth and Cedar at 10:30 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. His 16-year-old male passenger was issued a promise to appear at the same time and location on a charge of frequenting.

The owners of several vehicles parked downtown were contacted at 1:21 a.m. and asked to move them.

Feb. 14

Report of a mental health call in the 476000 block of Highway 95 at 6:46 a.m.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on Bonner Mall Way at 8:01 a.m.

An officer responded to a private property, single-vehicle crash on Bonner Mall Way at 2:57 p.m.

Harassment was reported on Bonner Mall Way at 3:19 p.m.
