WBCLD classes, events cover it all
On the heels of her popular Live & Learn class on garden planning in Bonner County, Jennifer Jensen will return for a second session. Jensen, University of Idaho Extension Educator, will present “Gardening in Bonner County Part II: Pests and Diseases” at the Priest River Library on Thursday, March 8, at 5 p.m.
Registration is not required.
Kids are invited to a new, after hours event at the library. Learn to code with Stephanie Davis of Kaniksu Technology. Two sessions will be held. The first, Kids Code @ the Library, is for ages 8-12 on Saturday, March 10, 2-3:30 p.m. Participants will use the library computers to explore the world of coding through Star Wars. No coding experience necessary. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn more about computer science.
The second session, Teens Code @ the Library, is for kids ages 13 and up and will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2-3:30 p.m. Join Stephanie and build a galaxy using the Minecraft Hour of Code platform. The program will give teens the chance to explore coding and its connection to the real world and to learn about Java Script, coding and computer science while expanding computer skills in a fun and exciting way.
Coding classes will be held at the Priest River branch library. Registration is required as space is limited to 10. Call 208-448-2207 or email library@westbonnerlibrary.org to reserve a seat.
