Brian John Krone
Brian John Krone left this world as swiftly as he lived it on Jan. 7, 2018, surrounded by loving family.
Brian was born to Conrad and Betty Krone in Minnesota on Nov. 10, 1955, and was the third of eight siblings. Brian’s love of the outdoors and sense of adventure served him well in life. His passion for cars, motorcycles, trucks and anything with wheels inspired his nickname of “Wheels” that has followed him throughout his lifetime.
After exploring several places, Brian settled down in Colorado and created a life working excavation, hunting, fishing and surrounded by many friends. He considered his greatest achievement and honor the birth of son Jesse Krone, who grew up and followed the passion of his father in the art of blowing things up. Master Sgt. Jesse Krone of the U.S. Army, explosive ordinance disposal technician.
In 1990, Brian moved to Sandpoint, Idaho with his wife Sarah. They quickly made lifelong friendships and began building his business Excavation Northwest; a business that was built on handshakes and trust. Brian was known for his honesty and integrity along with his quick wit that always left everyone laughing and feeling better about themselves. Affectionately he became known as “What a guy Bri” through his willingness to help others and good-hearted nature. He was the man who would and could move mountains for anyone. His big heart and love of life will certainly be missed by all whose lives he has touched. We are reminded we only have one life and need to be kind to one another.
Brian is survived by his son, Jesse Krone of North Carolina; his wife, Sarah; his mother, Betty of Minnesota; brothers, Craig of Minnesota, Steve (Karen) of Minnesota, Brett (Suze) of Missouri, and Keith of Florida; and sisters, Sharon (Tod) of Idaho, Cynthia (Mark) of Colorado, and Ami (Dave) of Minnesota; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He joins his father, Conrad; grandparents, relatives and many friends who left us too soon.
Service and reception to follow for Brian will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at the Ponderay Events Center, 401 Bonner Mall Way, Suite E.
