SPIRIT LAKE — A 41-year-old Athol man who was driving a FedEx delivery van was arrested for DUI in Spirit Lake on Thursday night.
David Lenon was reportedly driving erratically on westbound Highway 54 toward Spirit Lake at 6:55 p.m.
The reporting party told police that the van was then stopped at the Idaho Transportation Department depot in Spirit Lake, where officers contacted Lenon.
"Lenon informed officers that he was on his way back to his shop in Coeur d’Alene with several packages awaiting delivery," a Spirit Lake Police press release states.
Officers smelled alcohol while contacting Lenon so he underwent a DUI evaluation and was arrested without incident. The van was impounded.
