Gear up for gardening

PRIEST RIVER — Gardening season is coming.

The Priest River Library will present a Live & Learn program, Garden Planning in Bonner County, on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m.

These dark and cold days are the perfect time to plan next year’s garden. Whether you are an experienced gardener or new to gardening in north Idaho, there is always new information to be learned about crop varieties, soil preparation, propagation, pests and making it all work with our short gardening season. Jennifer Jensen with the University of Idaho Extension Office in Bonner County will touch on all these subjects and try to answer any other questions you may have.
