A group of former Bulldog basketball players teamed up to win their bracket at Hoopfest last weekend in Spokane, one of three Sandpoint teams claiming titles in a strong showing. Team SEVENB went 5-1 en route to the title in their adult open division. After losing their first game to Deadly Shooterz, the team bounced back in a rematch to win handily and claim a coveted title.

A group of Sandpoint 8th graders one upped their seniors and went a perfect 5-0 to win their youth male bracket. Triple Threat Swish had to beat the Chromes from Wenatchee in both the semis and finals, winning a pair of tough games by two and one point, respectively. All the boys stepped up their game with confident, physical play, said coach Ann Dickinson, whose squad prevailed 14-13 in the final.
