SANDPOINT — A Tennessee man has been arrested for killing his wife in Bonner County in 2004.

Stephen Mathew Lott is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly killing Christine Lott, who was last seen in Priest River in 2004.

Stephen Lott made an initial appearance in Bonner County Magistrate Court on Thursday via videoconferencing with the Bonner County Jail. Judge Debra Heise sustained Lott’s $1 million bail and appointed a public defender to represent him, court records show.
