Holiday week delivers great entertainment, events
SANDPOINT — Don’t even think about taking a breather after the busy Fourth of July week — we must dig deep and soldier on, as this week is packed to the brim with cool stuff to do.
The Idaho Draft Horse & Mule International Show starts today at the fairgrounds night brings a Contra Dance at Community Hall and Saturday delivers the long-awaited return of the Friends of the Library Used Book Sale and Monday night, it’s the Festival Summer Youth Music Camp All-Star Faculty Concert at the Panida.

Thursday, July 5
Idaho Draft Horse & Mule International Show
Venue: Bonner County Fairgrounds, 4203 N. Boyer Ave., in Sandpoint.
Time: All day; continues through Sunday
This is the Northwest’s largest draft horse and mule expo and it happens right here at home! Check out the Art & Gear Show, visit with the gentle giants in their stalls, stop by the food vendors, visit with Bonnie Shields the legendary Tennessee mule artist and see the Wild Hearts Drill Team.

Lifelong musician Kerry Leigh is gracing the Beer Hall for the Thursday Night Solo Series. He owns and operates a recording studio in Sandpoint, which has helped him produce and distribute his many albums and songs across the world.

The Beat Diggers

Devon is an independent country music artist out of Sandpoint Idaho with a strong love for what country music has always been — songs about real life.

Friends of the Library Used Book Sale
Venue: East Bonner County Library, 1407 Cedar St., in Sandpoint.

Hooray! It’s finally that time again — The Friends of the Library invite you to the first book sale since the beginning of the library expansion. This sale features beautiful fabric books and the best teen reads from the library’s collection. It’s also the time for you to bring in all of those books you’ve been storing during the library construction. It’s time to put books in your hands and a smile on your face.

Junior Ranger Program

Round Lake State Park hosts a Junior Ranger program for kids ages 6 to 12 every Saturday. This week’s program is Round Lake Rocks. Come discover the geology of Round Lake. The fun starts at the amphitheater.
