Shangri La at the Lake benefits UK

| July 12, 2018 1:00 AM

SAGLE — Live music, dinner, dancing on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille.

It’s a great time, but Saturday’s Shangri La at the Lake also helps a great group help local youth through a number of programs. While you’re having a great time at Shangri La at the Lake, you’re also helping Underground Kindness raise money to support its programs in local public schools as well as the Juvenile Justice Center, Kinderhaven and the Sandpoint Teen Center. In the 2017-18 school year, Underground Kindness presented over 600 hours of classes to the students of Bonner County.

The event is held from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday at Shangri La, located 10 minutes south of Sandpoint at 116 Bella Circle, Sagle. It is an eco-friendly event.

Food and drinks come courtesy of Skeyes the Limit, and live music by Tennis.

All are invited for a fun evening of eating, drinking, and dancing, live and silent auctions, and presentations by Underground Kindness’ students and its founder.

If you are unable to attend, but would still like to help out, you can mail your donations to Underground Kindness, Box 73, Sandpoint, ID 83864; or go online to undergroundkindness.org/about/.

For directions to get to Shangri La, head south on Highway 95, left on Sagle Road, left on Lignite Road just after the railroad track, left on Bottle Bay Road, right on Hanford just after the railroad track, right at stop sign, left on Bella, Shangri La is on the lake.
