SANDPOINT — We’re so loaded with action this week that there’s no room to wax eloquent, but we will say: Festival Music Camp Finale tonight; wooden boat show and Beerfest this weekend and Tennis is back in town!

Thursday, July 12

Festival Music Camp Finale Concert

Venue: Panida Theater, 300 N. First Ave., in Sandpoint.

Time: 6 p.m.

You thought the teachers were entertaining? You won’t be able to sit still until you hear these students play! Featuring 114 talented, young musicians. Come and get primed for the Festival at Sandpoint!

Brian Stai

Venue: 219 Lounge, 219 First Ave., in Sandpoint.

Time: 8 p.m.

With an emphasis on lyrically based songwriting and live performances, Brian mergers the tradition of folk music into his own experience and perspective.

Open Mic with Kevin Dorin

Antique & Classic Boat Show

Venue: Sand Creek Boardwalk, in Sandpoint.

Time: All Day (Show runs through July 15)

Check out these classic wooden boats, enjoy water-themed activities, contests and more along at 16th annual event sponsored by Inland Empire Antique & Classic Boat Society.

Tennis

Venue: MickDuff’s Beer Hall, 220 Cedar St., in Sandpoint.

Time: 8 p.m.

Tennis is back at the Brewery to help us kick off summer! They’re clearing out a dance floor in the brewery once again and it is going to be a lot of fun and sure to rock! No pre-sale, space limited to so arrive early.

Admission: $5 at the door for those 21 and over.

Sandpoint Contra Dance

Venue: Sandpoint Community Hall, 204 S. First Ave., in Sandpoint.

Time: 7-10 p.m.

Celebrate the joys of community by dancing with friends – those you already know and the new ones you’re about to meet! Live music will be provided by Red Herring and all dances will be called by Emily Faulkner. Previous dancing experience is not necessary. First-time dancers are encouraged to arrive on time for an introductory dance at 7 pm. Bring clean, comfortable, non-marking shoes to dance in.

Admission: Suggested donation is $5 per person, $20 for families. Please bring finger food or snacks to share at the break. Sponsored by Emily Faulkner, Lost Horse Press and Sandpoint Parks & Rec.

Round Lake State Park hosts an eveing program on owls – Whooo Are They? The fun starts at the amphitheater.

The Miah Kohal Band

Miah Kohal Band is a Sandpoint favorite classic rock/outlaw country band. Bring your dancing shoes, as Miah will rock the Niner with upbeat music that is sure to get you on the dance floor and keep you there!

Venue: Pend d’Oreille Winery, 301 Cedar St., in Sandpoint.

Saturday, July 14

Sandpoint Beerfest

Venue: Trinity at City Beach, 58 Bridge St., in Sandpoint.

Time: Noon-5 p.m.

The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce hosts its 5th annual Sandpoint Beerfest – the perfect venue to enjoy craft brews and ciders from 16 regional breweries, with food catered by Trinity at City Beach, live music with Tennis, games, beer trivia, pretzel necklaces, and more.

Admission: Purchase tickets online at tickets.beerfests.com/event/sandpoint-beerfest (limited number available, so buy early!). Children may attend with their parent, but no dogs allowed.

Junior Ranger Program

Venue: Round Lake State Park, 1880 E. Dufort Road, in Sagle.

Time: 3 p.m.

Round Lake State Park hosts a Junior Ranger program for kids ages 6 to 12 every Saturday. This week’s program is Brilliant Beavers - learn about adaptations that help beavers do amazing things. The fun starts at the amphitheater.

Admission: Free and open to the public.

Bastille Day & Empty Bowl Fundraiser

Venue: Sandpoint Senior Center, 820 Main St., Sandpoint.

Time: Dance with Country Plus from 1-4 p.m., Bastille Day activities from 3-5 p.m.

The garden courtyard will be host to an ice cream social as part of an Empty Bowl fundraiser to help replace the food bank pickup/delivery van and many programs at the senior center.

To celebrate Bastille Day, they’re serving edible bowls with French vanilla ice cream and Ghirardelli chocolate brownies. There also will be a ‘Make It Like Monet’ art activity and French “escargot hopscotch” for the adventuresome.

Admission: $10 will get you an edible bowls, a $20 donation gets the bowl and lets you participate in activities. The public is invited to bring children of all ages to come and enjoy the fun.

‘Tricked Out’ Magic Show

Venue: Cedar Sreet Bridges Public Market, corner of First & Cedar, in Sandpoint.

Time: Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m.

This limited engagement show with thrilliusionist David DaVinci is only available on a first-come first-served basis, as there is only seating for 30. Alcoholic drinks are available for guests 21 and older.

Admission: Adults $49.95, kids $36.95, available only online at sandpointmagic.com or at the door if not sold out.

Bright Moments

Venue: Trinity at City Beach, 58 Bridge St., in Sandpoint.

Time: 6-9 p.m.

When this Sandpoint ensemble takes the stage, you can expect great tunes and good times.

DJ Mercury & Skeleton Key Art Glass

Venue: Pend d’Oreille Winery, 301 Cedar St., in Sandpoint.

Time: 5-7 p.m.

Every second Saturday the winery features a different local artist’s work for the month. July’s artist is Skeleton Key Art Glass, along with sounds from DJ Mercury.

Admission: Free and open to the public.

30th Anniversary & Muffy & The Riff Hangers

Venue: Sandpoint Farmers Market, Farmin Park, Third Ave. & Oak St., downtown Sandpoint.

Time: Market starts at 9 a.m., music from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

For its 30th birthday, the market hosts Star the Magician from 10-noon, plus musical guests Muffy & Riff Hangers from 10-1. Face painting, bubble-making, and other crafty fun for kids (and adults, for that matter!).
