An article in the Daily Bee stating the Sandpoint politicos have approved a “city strategic plan,” which I tried to read and made zero sense. This plan supposedly states they want a responsive government, a resilient economy, sustainable environment, vibrant culture, and a livable community. What a bunch of bunk!

Over two years with different administrations waiting for approval to refine city codes, optimize storm water management, fire protection, and police services. Who are these people anyway? Where did they come from? They actually said they want to follow through on what they say, not what they do, and then want to do what they end up doing. Honestly, this was printed in the Bonner County Daily Bee.

Listen politicos, if you really want to do something beneficial for the people who live in Sandpoint and surrounding areas, demand that the railroads make some rail crossings silent crossings. This can be done if the rail crossings have flashing red lights, loud bells, and crossing arms that drop down blocking vehicle traffic. Then these clowns who operate those locomotives will no longer be allowed to blow those irritating horns at all hours. Other cities have done this so come on, Sandpoint politicos, do something really worthwhile.
