Don’t miss the Northwest WineFest this weekend at Schweitzer (Bridges Home Duo plays Saturday at noon), the Bodacious Barbecue Saturday in Hope, or Right Front Burner getting’ funky at the 219 Lounge Saturday night.

Bright Moments

When this Sandpoint ensemble takes the stage, you can always expect great tunes and good times.

Justin Landis

Formerly with Sandpoint bands, Tennis and Cedar & Boyer, Justin is a seasoned

performer and proficient multi instrumentalist.

Star Wars Night

Attention all Star War fans and wannabe Jedi Masters: Come learn how to laser engrave tie fighters, millennium falcons, and X-wing fighters ­ and then assemble them when you’re done. Attendees can also expect a visit from Darth Vader! It’s a fun night for everyone (ages 8 and up).

Covering over a half century of popular music, this Coeur d’Alene power trio, conjures up vinyl, heavy-footed grooves, martini dance steps, stereo-up-

Northwest WineFest

Venue: Schweitzer Mountain Resort

Time: Noon-7 p.m.

Schweitzer Mountain Resort’s Northwest WineFest is a great summer getaway for the entire family featuring a full weekend of wine tastings, live music, delicious food and outdoor fun. Discover an ever-expanding array of regional wines, while the kiddos zip line, test their climbing skills, and more. The chairlift will be running for scenic views at the top, so make plans to be on the mountain.

Bridges Home Duo plays from Noon-2 p.m., followed by Runaway Symphony at 2:30 and the Josh Farmer band at 5 p.m.

Admission: $25 for stemless souvenir wine glass with 6 tasting tickets (2 oz. each); Additional tasting tickets are $3 each. Lift Tickets - $15 foot traffic and $35 bikes.

Bodacious BBQ & Bluegrass Party

Venue: Litehouse Beach House, 46242 Highway200, in East Hope.

Time: 4:30 p.m.

Enjoy live music, catered tri-tip dinner, silent auction, bucket raffle, beer, wine and tons of fun on the lake! This is a fundraiser for the Memorial Community Center and Preschool in Hope.

Admission: Cost is $60 each or $560 for a reserved table of 8.

Junior Ranger Program

Round Lake State Park hosts a Junior Ranger program for kids ages 6 to 12 every Saturday. This week’s program is Fun with Frogs - learn that frogs breathe through their skin, and more! The fun starts at the amphitheater.

Summer Slide & Slam Cornhole Tourney

Venue: MickDuff’s Beer Hall, 220 Cedar St., in Sandpoint.

Time: Registration ends at 12:30 p.m., first toss at 1 p.m.

Cornhole kings and queens will be taking to the brewery in our first ever Blind Draw Cornhole Tournament! Four regulation courts set up to test your tossin’ abilities in a double elimination tournament! Enter as a single and let fate decide your partner in a blind draw ceremony. Cash prizes.
