SPOT announces Festival route
SANDPOINT — Selkirks Pend Oreille Transit will be providing free service during The Festival at Sandpoint with a special, direct route to and from The Festival at Sandpoint.
Festival attendees may park or walk to Sandpoint High School and board an air conditioned SPOT Bus that will transport riders directly to the entrance of Memorial Field, the site of the Festival at Sandpoint.
Sandpoint High School has ample free parking and is located at 410 S. Division St in Sandpoint.
Service will begin on Thursday, Aug. 2 and run through Sunday, Aug. 12, and will be available for each Festival evening, with the exception of the Family Concert, when there will be no service. Bus service begins at 4:30 pm and runs until approximately 11:30 pm or when all Festival attendees have dispersed.
Clif Warren, Board Member of Selkirks Pend Oreille Transit, said, “We are very excited to offer this special route for the second year in a row for Festival fans! The buses pro- vide a safe and convenient way to attend the concerts while completely eliminating the need to find parking. It is a fun and easy way to attend The Festival!”
SPOT bus is a free transportation service serving Dover, Ponderay, Kootenai and Sandpoint with over 30 stops.
