My dislike for Donald Trump began in earnest 30 years ago.
Several Wall Streeters and Trump were given a private showing of Oliver Stone’s film “Wall Street”. After the showing Trump tells Stone that he really liked the Gekko (greed is good) character as played by Michael Douglas. That is when I realized there is something fundamentally wrong with Trump. Gekko was a despicable evil film character and Trump admired him!
Several times following “Wall Street”, I saw Trump on the Howard Stern show and, for me, his egomania appearances further degraded him.
It is my feeling that many of those who voted for Trump would not have if they had the exposure to him that I had.
I also suspect that millions voted for Trump as a protest vote believing he would not be elected. In other words, they would not have voted for him if they thought he had a chance.
Those who can see Trump for what he is are mystified as to why his followers cannot. Could it be they are looking at him through rose colored glasses? If so they need to remove them so they can see that their “emperor” is wearing no clothes.
