Selkirk Fire crews respond to fire

SANDPOINT — Selkirk Fire Rescue & EMS responded to a structure fire at the southern end of Bonner County about 2:15 p.m. Monday, the fire department reported on its Facebook page.
When Selkirk Fire firefighters, along with Timberlake firefighters, arrived at the scene, they found a working fire in a detached garage.
“Firefighters were faced with temperatures exceeding 95 degrees outside air temperature while fighting the fire,” Selkirk Fire officials said on the page.
Firefighters were on scene for more than two hours. Fire is under investigation. One AC, one BC, three engines and a water tender responded.
Fire officials noted the county’s fire danger is very high and encouraged folks to be safe.
