COCOLALLA — Two people were injured a collision on U.S. Highway 95 on Sunday, according to Selkirk Fire Rescue & EMS officials.

A vehicle and a motorcyclist crashed head-on in front of the View Café shortly before 7 p.m. Both vehicles caught fire and were separated by about 100 yards after the crash, which started a brush fire, Selkirk said in a social media post. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the brush, the Facebook post said.

Bonner County EMS personnel treated two patients with non-life-threatening injuries. U.S. 95 was shut down for a period of time in both directions.

Bonner County sheriff’s deputies also responded to the call.
