Paul Engle posits some interesting points that should be considered regarding the proposed railroad bridge. However, his tag-on sentence at the end of his letter deserves a response sooner than later. Students fail to protest drug and alcohol deaths because generally the victims have engaged in some type of voluntary action, and their deaths, while tragic, are the result of bad choices. Never the case with mass school shootings unless one makes the case that going to school that day was a bad choice.
