Several letters to the editor noted the contradiction to the guest opinion by Ryan Moore, “The NRA is the true gun safety organization,” (Spokesman Review, May 12) when another gun nut shot up a school room at Santa Fe, Texas.

In truth, the NRA is a powerful and dangerous, terrorist organization. Common sense gun regulations have not been enacted because the NRA has made generous contributions to many of our legislators.

When election time comes around, we need to be well organized to find out which legislators have accepted contributions from the NRA, publicize the fact, and vote them out of office. Then perhaps our children get back to studying without the fear of getting killed.
